In this position, you will be part of the NM EHS team as one of the Industrial hygienists/safety professionals supporting manufacturing operations.
Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvements of industrial hygiene and safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and monitoring workplace environments by analyzing work processes, materials, equipment, and the work habits of employees.
Partnering with customers and stakeholders to ensure work environments are safe and meet all applicable regulations and best known practices.
Assist in educating employees on established practices, precautions, and procedures.
Conduct audits of programs and provide written reports of findings and recommendations for improvement.
Use data analysis to develop and design solutions and/or to address trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Oversee IH and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and requirements.
Keep abreast of new and existing relevant laws, rules and regulations, and takes actions appropriate to ensure timely compliance and communication to appropriate departments and stakeholders.
Serve as the liaison with local, state and federal agencies establishing a strong partnership and oversee the response to any inquiries or inspections.
Analyze, evaluate and provide site management with solid EHS guidance.
Identify, evaluate and recommend new strategic, creative approaches to safety and industrial hygiene programs and how they can be successfully applied within the business groups.
Conduct technical assessments such as chemical, noise, lighting surveys, radiation, indoor air quality and other relevant workplace exposure assessments.
Conduct audits of applicable safety and IH programs and provide written reports of findings and recommendations for improvement.
Complete assessment of program health and action plans to support continuous improvement for the programs owned self-assessments, compliance audits, leading train the trainer sessions, maintaining all necessary documentation, etc.
Respond to employee EHS questions and concerns, providing guidance as needed.
Participate in Leadership Teams and associated program chartered teams/cross site projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills Must Have Skills:
Bachelor's degree + 3 years' experience, Master's degree + 2 years' experience, or PhD + 1 year experience in Industrial Hygiene or equivalent related degree, in addition to 3+ years of Industrial Hygiene and Safety work experience preferred

Preferred Skills / Nice to Have Skills:
Certified Safety Professional CSP Certified Industrial Hygienist CIH designation preferred
Regulatory knowledge including OSHA, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards applicable to EHS compliance
Excellent communication, advanced time management, team building and problem solving skills
Effectively communicate verbal, written, and electronic with all levels of management and individuals of diverse disciplines and cultural background
Able to lead and influence teams, lead incident investigations and work closely with key customers on EHS initiatives
Well rounded in the EHS career field and be prepared to take on any challenge
Desire to employ new and innovative ways to ensure flawless Health and Safety compliance
Ability to synthesize and report technical safety and Industrial Hygiene requirements in an accurate, clear, and streamlined manner
