This role will be based in North Carolina (preferably in Charlotte)

This is a commissioned sales position. Responsible for giving product presentations to the customer describing how Intel products provide the optimum solution to their application. Develop a clear understanding of Intel's business practices including pricing, forecasting, T/Cs, Distribution and Business Code of Ethics. During customer's product design, responsible for design assistance including onsite visits to review designs, examine customer problems and provide suggestions on optimal ways to use Intel products. Manage relationships between Intel and customers by establishing relationships with key individuals at accounts. Identify and develop new opportunities within accounts. Give product demonstrations and execute benchmarks to show product capabilities and ease of use. Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy. Communicate strategies to appropriate field and factory personnel to obtain required support and coordination. Assist the customer throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the product. Provide timely feedback to the factory on product and strategy issues to ensure the Intel is capable of responding to and/or anticipating changes needed to maintain success. Provide training and account strategy support for distributors. Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non repetitive, analytical work. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

As an IoT Field Applications Engineer (FAE) the candidate will be responsible for working with key distribution partner to engage new and existing customers to influence the inclusion of company products into their designs and solutions. They will own ensuring distribution sales and FAE teams are prepared to drive sales of company products and solutions by collaborating with the business unit for content and training. Candidate will work with distribution sales and business unit technical resources to ensure the recommended Intel solution meets the specification. Works directly with customer to resolve technical issues in achieving the solution/design proposal. Guides distribution and/or Intel account manager and customer through design phase with technical resources. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts and technical support specialists. Successful candidate would be responsible for helping customers adopt Intel IOT technologies by accurately representing the different layers in the IOT Solutions Architecture that leads to a deployable offerings, efficient go to market plans and accountable revenue pipeline. This role will collaborate closely with partners and customers in the customer value chain including but not limited to: OEM's, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, ISVs & service providers. Responsibilities The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Working with IOTG Business Units, OEM's, ISV's, SI's and other key stakeholders to understand market trends, industry needs, and customer pain points. Broad industry knowledge along with a deep understanding of the IOT Solution Architecture and software layers to connect edge devices to cloud providers. Understanding of competitive architectures and ability to sell value of Intel based solutions. Proven experience in driving complex competitive solution sales scenarios, working in a collaborative environment and taking leadership of driving opportunities to closure. Strong results-oriented, proactive, confident under pressure and demonstrated skills in solution selling. Strong leadership skills, planning, excellent communication, virtual-team engagement, time management, negotiation and presentation skills are essential. Evangelizing, winning and building a revenue pipeline with focused distributors by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel and partner-led products and services. Building relationships with key account executives, understanding customer business problems, helping them solve their problems and build business capabilities through the use of Intel-based solutions, therefore positioning Intel as the thought leader in solving challenging business problems. Leverage personal network and domain expertise to open doors to develop new opportunities. Act as a technical liaison between customer and Product Groups.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• The FAE candidates should have a BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent technical knowledge.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Intel (or other leading) IoT technologies.

• Expertise working with partners and ecosystems, i.e., OEM's, system integrators (SIs) , solution integrators, solution providers, ISVs & service providers. Knowledge and understanding of market trends, industry needs, and customer pain points.

Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred:

• Strong written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to effectively present in front of a large audience.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed in order to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment.

• Sales or marketing experience is desirable.
