Intel On-Site Lustre Systems Engineer ANL in Chandler, Arizona

Job Description

This position requires onsite working at Argonne National Laboratory ANL. This person should be a Lustre file system expert who can: 1 Provide ANL system administrators and Lustre developers with 'front-line' support of issues arising on any of the production Lustre file systems operating in both the classified and unclassified environments at Argonne, and 2 Function as the main liaison between ANL and Intel's High Performance Data Division HPDD on targeted bug resolution of issues that will require updates to the code. Duties will include but will not be limited to: working with Argonne personnel to identify, isolate and create reliable problem reproducers for locally encountered Lustre software bugs participating in the testing of, and problem root cause identification and resolution of issues with Lustre releases in ANL environments being responsible, in conjunction with HPDD, for identifying and facilitating the fixing of locally encountered Lustre bugs as prioritized by ANL Lustre personnel and ensuring integration of these fixes into the standard Lustre code base.


Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience. Expertise in HPC and MPI-based applications a plus. Familiarity with vendor provided storage systems a plus. Linux system administration experience required.
