The Business Group Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group (NSG) is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives SSDs, portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive SSD system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing. Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop test strategies, systems, and code that is critical in the development of Solid State Drives.
Beyond creating tests and test plans, you will be an important part of a cohesive development team that will rely on your ability to automate testing, support feature development, and debug the most challenging issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with architecture, validation, manufacturing, and other disciplines.
Good analytical, integration, support, and debugging skills.
Proactive approach to work and communication
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Minimum 3 months experience in the following:
o Unit testing and test-driven development concepts.
o Embedded firmware written in C, real-time operating system, and HW/FW/SW interactions.
o Developing in a high level scripting language like Python or Perl
- At the bachelor's level candidate must have unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring Sponsorship.
Experience with automated test environments such as Jenkins.
Experience developing test plans and understanding of techniques to gauge test effectiveness code coverage, etc.
Experience with the Linux Kernel, compiling device drivers, and debugging devices from the OS perspective.
Firmware development environments including compilers, debuggers, emulators, and tool chains.
Knowledge of design and implementation of multitasking, event driven firmware using C.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Understanding of data manipulation and memory.
Knowledge of management algorithms in flash memories.
