Intel Product Quality and Failure Analysis Engineer in Folsom, California
Responsible for identifying and researching Solid State Drive SSD failures from external and internal customers. Evaluates the firmware functionality, the electrical and mechanical characteristics of SSD components to determine the root cause of failure. Uses test equipment such as bus and logic analyzer, oscilloscope, firmware debugger to perform the analysis. Review failure analysis data and return material analysis data to recommend product level changes to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability. May support new product transfer and startup and the automation and improvement of the failure analysis process. Strives to proliferate shared learning world-wide. Maintain necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
At the BS level only, must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
Experience of working in NAND Flash Memory Products
Experience in Quality and Reliability functions such as product qualification.
System triage and analytical debug skills to be able to identify HW vs. OS/SW and component vs platform level issues.
Basic SQL and advanced Excel knowledge and desire to do data analysis
