Intel Solid State Drive SSD Quality and Reliability Failure Analysis Engineer in Folsom, California
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
The candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
At a Bachelor's level the candidate must have unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
Minimum 6 months of experience in:
- Programming/Scripting C, C++, Python.
Knowledge / Experience with:
Working knowledge of storage products.
PCIe, SATA interfaces.
Lab equipment such as protocol analyzers, high speed oscilloscopes.
Job responsibilities include:
Responsible for identifying failures and researching product improvements to enhance yield, performance, quality and reliability of next generation SSD's, Product and Package technologies.
Investigates and thoroughly explains fundamental aspects of NAND, components, Hardware and Firmware interactions.
Owns the development of test methodologies to ensure strategic failure analysis capabilities are in place for SSD products, allowing for faster time to root cause.
Directs new technology/product transfer, manufacturing startup, and the automation and improvement of the failure analysis process.
Owns proliferation of shared learning across sites. Maintains necessary records and reports.
Performs other related duties as required or as directed.
