Intel Systems Engineer in Folsom, California
The Business Client Solutions Support BCSS team provides technical support of Business Client Solutions for internal and external customers worldwide. We are currently searching for a qualified Systems Engineer to help resolve customer business computing challenges by interacting with multiple internal organizations as well as industry partners as necessary. As a Systems Engineer you will be working with the latest Intel Business Client technologies. You will be one of the first to experience the Business Client of the future and help influence the next generation of computing devices. You will be working with the latest in Business Client hardware and software in a collaborative, creative lab environment.
As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with a variety of customer infrastructure set-ups, and be able to navigate the terminology and "terrain" e.g. different network infrastructure/setups successfully, on the fly, to assess and debug implementation issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Collaborate with end customers, removing technical roadblocks, as they implement the latest Intel Technologies in their environments
-Respond to customer updates, Educate partner teams on issues, requests, debug status, etc. -Advocate for customer feature requests/changes in Intel products & processes.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 months experience with various platform ingredients like hardware, BIOS/Firmware, drivers, Operating System, applications, etc.
At least 3 months experience with networking and/or IT infrastructure management and with 802.1x protocols, Transmission Control Protocol TCP/IP, Local Area Networks LAN, SQL Server Administration, PKI & various Operating Systems required.
Must have unrestricted-permanent right to work in US without requiring sponsorship.
Structured, technical problem solving critical/analytical thinking, and persistence in exploring options to assess what may be broken, "digger" mentality--peel-the-onion, keep progressing through the layers to isolate issue
Network infrastructure, Active Directory, network protocols, implementation hierarchies to determine where root-cause of issue may lie.
-Technical communication and ability to seamlessly transition from the deep-dive technical issues & discussions with customer's IT/networking experts, Intel hardware & software developers, etc. to representing high-level issues, status, & impact to Intel and customer account managers, assessing, describing, and advocating for solutions to the issues.
- Strong analysis and debug skills to assess and root-cause often esoteric, nuanced issues.
IT infrastructure knowledge.
-Strong network infrastructure background DNS, DHCP, TLS, Active Directory, etc. SW development or validation experience.
