Intel Validation Engineer in Folsom, California
This position provides an exciting and challenging technical opportunity to drive validation activities related to PCI Express and SATA Solid State Drives and next generation memory products. SSDs are the future of storage and Intel is focused on expanding its presence in the datacenter. In this position you will be on the leading edge of SSDs and their connectedness with datacenter platforms.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
System/Platform and SSD level debug
Interface across the organization to drive improvements into test and debug capabilities.
Expose product deficiencies based on requirements of datacenter storage customers.
Required skills/experience (Must Have)
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years experience in a validation or QA environment.
Strong programming and debug skills.
Experience developing and debugging code in Windows AND/OR Linux environments.
Be able to demonstrate success in communicating plans, status, issues, concerns.
Preferred skills/experience (Nice to have)
Working knowledge of storage as it relates to Intel platforms
Knowledge of storage protocols SATA and/or PCI Express is a plus.
Working knowledge of storage as it relates to Intel platforms is preferred.
Demonstrated abilities in technical leadership and self initiative in work related projects
