Job Description

The SSG/DPD team is looking for a Software Development engineer to develop, test, and enable open source HPC and cloud middleware so that they run optimally on Intel Fabric products.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have bachelors or MS Degree in Computer Science and/or related fields

  • MSCS or equivalent experience developing code in C, Python, and Linux scripts

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in developing code in a Linux OS environment.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience using open source development and source control tools and processes, e.g., git, formatting patches for Linux

  • Knowledge of network programming and network protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Linux RDMA subsystem programming interfaces for high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Roce, or Omni-Path

  • Experience with PGAS languages and runtimes, such as OpenSHMEM, UPC, GasNet, and Chapel

  • Experience with MPI and HPC clusters.

  • Experience and knowledge of cloud software stacks and middleware, such as OpenStack, Ceph, Hadoop, and machine learning frameworks.
