Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) team developing high performance, energy efficient hardware and software systems as a Pathfinding Program Manager!

As a Pathfinding Program Manager working on this team, you will manage programs of broad scope, impacting all phases of the project lifecycle. You will manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders in a fluid, fast-moving environment. The Pathfinding Program Manager handles multiple, simultaneous, cross organizational programs of broad scope and moderate to high complexity usually managing a small core team representing a series of functionally specific sub-teams. You will set direction for programs directly related to corporate strategic goals as they are incubated and progress from concept through pathfinding and transition to development. Additionally, you will help lead the core team and guide performance of functional sub-teams and will be the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally.

Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with development and execution of Pathfinding projects, including sourcing of materials, hands-on assembly of prototype systems and testing of hardware and software subsystems in a lab environment.

  • Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals.

  • Exercises judgment and discretion to develops solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.

  • Recommends or sets priorities aligned to business strategies or corporate policies and exceptions as appropriate.

  • Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members.

  • Creates/tracks/adjusts the program milestones and ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.

  • Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.

  • Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met.

  • Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions.

  • Influences business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals.

  • Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

You must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 6 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of related work experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 2 years of related work experience.

  • 6 plus years of experience managing system / platform / board development programs including hardware, software, mechanical and thermal solutions.

  • 6 plus years of experience using traditional project management tools & processes, with the flexibility to apply them in a lightweight model to support POC projects.

  • 4 plus years of experience and comfort level working in a very fluid work environment juggling multiple projects in flight, often without clear relative priorities.

  • 3 plus years of experience in providing hands-on support to a team of senior architects and engineers developing POC systems in a fast-paced, agile work environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross functional teams.
