Intel Senior FPGA Applications Engineer in Hudson, Massachusetts

Job Description

Intel Programmable Solution Group (formerly Altera) is looking for motivated talents to work with defense customers on their FPGA projects. In this senior Applications Engineer role, you will be responsible for supporting customer and enabling successful completion of customer project design by providing technical expertise, guidance, design optimizations and issue resolution. Your responsibilities will include but not limit to the followings:

  • Provide technical support, fully resolve customer issues and queries from Intel office or on customer site

  • Analyze customer designs, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimization techniques and guidance to facilitate design optimization. Work with customer to efficiently implement these optimizations on FPGAs

  • Provide demonstrations and proof of concept to showcase Intel FPGA capabilities at customer

  • Participate in technical collateral development

  • Primary working location can be either San Jose, California or Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Qualifications

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • Hands-on ASIC and/or FPGA design experience, excellent understanding of FPGA design and optimization flow

  • Excellent Verilog and/or VHDL coding and debug skills including RTL code optimizations for timing closure

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills self-motivated and team player- Involve extended travel and customer on-site debug

  • Experience in defense project/system design a plus

  • Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship
