Intel Assembly Materials Sr. Commodity Manager in Phoenix, Arizona
The Supplier Account Manager is a senior level commodity manager who will be responsible for managing the relationship and business direction for a critical supplier in Assembly Materials.
Other responsibilities include:
Coordinating purchasing activities with TD, Intel factories, contract management, managing cost, quality, availability, and technology deliverables in a timely manner.
Candidate should acquire and maintain technical understanding of the products purchased and have the ability to lead cross functional teams to put together business strategies.
Responsible for conducting market analysis and developing new supply sources where vendors in the supply chain are inadequate.
Responsible for initiating, developing and implementing commodity sourcing strategies and driving cost savings strategies.
Responsible for managing stakeholder and supplier relationships at the highest levels.
Serves as the key liaison between Intel and the supplier, engages the supplier to attain PQS/SCQI status through roadmap alignment, crisp execution and affordable supply chain and technology solutions.
Leadership: Coach and grow the internal account team. Set the vision and direction for the account team.
Assure healthy escalation process in place on both sides to drive gap closure.

Orchestrate unified communication internally and externally with supplier, including executive management meetings and strategic direction alignment.
While keeping the best interests of Intel, be a visible advocate for the supplier within Intel.
Ability to comprehend balance sheets/cash flow and short-term/long-term financial trends for supplier.
Ability to shape the business model Intel-supplier for mutual benefit.
Ability to derive trends from wide-ranging dataset and drive strategic initiatives/collaborations both technical and business collaborations to resolve most pressing supply chain issues for Intel. Be able to influence across organizations.
Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering, Masters/MBA degree preferred with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
Prior experience with creating & negotiating deals, supplier contract management and supplier relationship management required.
Knowledge/experience in the area of Supply Chain Management, supplier selections and evaluations, experience with packaging /assembly process and equipment and demonstrated experience with managing multiple contact/vendors/deals is desired.
Semiconductor Industry knowledge: Able to comprehend competitive supply landscape, technical integration trends, strategic threats and opportunities for the supplier and the segments they compete in, and how Intel can benefit from these.
Travel: Ability to travel 5 to 10% in Asia and US.
