Job Description

Autonomous Driving (AD) is a key transformative market for Intel PSG. Power-efficient FPGAs are ideal for the energy-constrained compute workload in autonomous vehicles; a key “connected device” in Intel’s virtuous cycle of growth. As part of Intel, Enpirion is supporting PSG with power supplies targeted for FPGA’s. Power advancements will continue as PSG applies Moore’s Law to drive the future of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology. This is a key hire for Intel PSG’s Automotive Business Group and success in this role means contributing significant value to the company over the medium to long-term.

As an Automotive Power Business Development Engineer in Intel’s Automated Driving Group (ADG), you will be developing & maintaining the power solutions specific to automotive market segment.

  • A self-motivated Sr. Power Engineer who can effectively and efficiently lead FPGA power opportunities and can partner well with other engineering, sales, business and customer teams.

  • Define requirements of automotive grade power solution for Intel automotive FPGAs. Provide technical recommendation to Intel sourcing team.

  • Developing intimate knowledge of standard power products (both mature and new) in end automotive applications

  • Expertise in automotive power regulatory requirements such as EMI, AEC and ASIL

  • Support the creation and presentation of power system solutions, demos and collaterals to be used at shows and customer sites

  • Support the definition and documentation of power application specific tests, test setups and results summary

  • Generate system level power application materials (presentations, reference diagrams, technical notes)

  • Develop close working relationships with the GER (Greater Europe Region) customers including Tier 1's, OEMs, Tier2's, and new entrants.

  • Travel to the GER and US regions, with a focus on GER based customers.


• BS in Electrical Engineering or related

• 10 years of power semiconductor experience with field sales experience (or other customer/business oriented scope)

• Willing to travel both domestically & internationally

• Experience with the automotive market (experience, or knowledge, on AEC-Q100 and/or ASIL Qualifications)

• Must have a business development mindset

• Fluent in English and German

Additional (Preferred) Qualifications:

• MBA, MSEE, MSCS, or related

• Knowledge in power electronics active safety and ADAS
