Job Description

We are seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to lead the Bluetooth HW requirements, low power digital system architecture and silicon validation concepts for Intel's Multi-Comm SoC solutions targeted at mobile phone, tablet, laptop, automotive and other embedded markets.

  • You will lead the hardware definition activities for a new generation of high performance SoC Bluetooth products.

  • You will drive solutions to achieve Key Performance Indicators, such as, power, cost, and Design for Test & Manufacturability.

  • You will work closely with the Multi-Comm SoC & platform architecture teams, silicon teams, software/firmware teams, production enabling teams, integration & validation teams, and program management to create a robust solution meeting or exceeding the market requirements for both OEM and end user customers.

  • You will also participate & lead cross-organizational topics and are expected to represent Bluetooth technical content to marketing and customers.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Write detailed specifications. Perform architecture and design analysis and modeling.

  • Accompany the design, integration and validation phases as the hardware expert for product features.

  • Lead complex feature integrations.

  • Troubleshoot problems till delivery of the product is complete at the highest quality levels

  • Conduct design and code reviews with developers

  • Resolve technical issues raised by the development team

  • Review unit level test cases with developers and AV test cases with the Silicon Validation team.

  • Assist management with effort estimations for new product features

  • Serve as the technical interface to teams outside of the group Work with multisite organizations

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Independent and self-motivated, Ability to work with ambiguity and provide leadership for the team, be able to prioritize, manage risks, evaluate tradeoffs and then makes decisions to move forward analytical problem solver, collaborative and team work minded- Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer or Electrical Engineering 10+ years of experience in Wireless Product Architecture and Development with a proven track record of delivering successful products with demonstrated Architectural Leadership.

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Development in one or more of the following:

  • VLSI activities Low power SoC architecture

  • RTL Register Transfer Level design

  • SOC integration

  • SV System Verilog

  • OVM Open Verification Methodology

  • Architecting and designing FPGA solutions

  • Experience with the Virtual Platform VP and High Level Synthesis

  • HLS flows to accelerate hardware design execution for PHY and MAC hardware

  • Power Modeling

  • PowerArtist and PTPX.

  • 5+ years of experience defining and documenting Hardware/Software Architectural Concepts, including Hardware/Software Functional partitioning and Real-Time Embedded Control, Design & Integration, and Development Processes.

  • 5+ years of experience with performance enhancements and low power optimizations for wireless chipset designs targeted at smart phones is highly desirable.

  • 1+ experience with Bluetooth Wireless Standards and/or Product Development is desirable.
