Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Development Group is seeking an experienced Device Integration Lead to own and drive SiPh transmitter chip design, development and integration for our next generation product. The individual will be responsible for * defining the overall integrated transmitter development plan * identifying development risks and risk mitigation strategies * owning overall testchip execution and coordination including chip design, layout and tape-out, test and validation, performance debug, reliability qualification, and known-good-die delivery * driving device improvement and maturation from pathfinding through sample-release authorization * defining and driving improvement initiatives to meet product cost and yield targets * serving as the primary decision maker and representative for device development/integration on the product development team

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications: * Must have a MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science or related fields * 6 years of experience with optical communications, fiber optics, integrated optics, WDM technology or semiconductor physics as related to photonics devices * 4 years of experience in design, simulation, and characterization of photonic devices for optical communications * 3 years of industry experience in planar photonic device or silicon photonics device product development * 2 years of industry experience driving planar photonic device integration
Additional preferred qualifications: * In-depth knowledge and experience with pluggable and embedded optics * Proven track record of bringing product from prototype to design-wins
