Intel Production Shift Group Leader - Night Shift in Albuquerque, New Mexico
The Shift Group Leader develops, leads, and manages a Compressed Work Week (CWW) shift team of 10-20 manufacturing technicians on night shift. This role is responsible for all aspects of managing the shift duties for the area including safety, quality, operational performance, resource management, and team development.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Partner with the Engineering Group Leaders and Area Engineers on the tactical decision-making for shift execution; including integrating unscheduled down tools, scheduled preventative maintenance, project management and manpower to meet factory and area priorities.
Owns tactical execution and strategic planning for area performance (availability, utilization, cycle time, defect reduction, cost performance) to achieve stated goals.
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects that span across entire department, as well as taskforce management.
Build and maintain a strong safety and high quality culture.
The incumbent will be required to attain L1 operations certification and basic preventative maintenance certifications including all Safety requirements to achieve these certifications.
BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics
Prior experience with wafer fabrication (3+ years with a 4 year Technical Degree, OR 8+ years with a Non-Tehnical Degree, Associates Degree or Military Education.
Strong technical/engineering background
Previous leadership AND/OR management experience.
