Intel Clocking Design Engineer in Austin, Texas

Job Description

This is an entry level position and will be paid accordingly.

You will be a member of the clocking team working on Intel Atom microprocessor, involving in

  • Atom CPU clocking architecture definition

  • Global clock network design

  • Clock tree synthesis flow development

  • Custom clock circuit design and clock library cell design

You will interface and work closely with other teams such as architecture, physical design, RTL, circuits, validation and design automation teams.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidate must have a Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

At least 1 year of experience in:

  • Perl and TCL coding

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Synthesis, APR and timing tools and flows

  • Circuit design

  • Lower power design

  • Device physics

  • Clock network design and clock tree synthesis
