Intel Design Automation Engineer in Austin, Texas

Job Description

Develops and tests Engineering Design Automation tools, creates flows/scripts to analyze and test design methodologies. Specifies materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects. Evaluates vendor practical capabilities to provide required products or services. Responsible for designing, deploying and testing efficiency of tools to utilize in achieving design goals and collaborating with design teams on methodology development. Design Automation Engineers are advocates of applying design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a BS or MS in Electrical engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science, 4+ years of experience with BS OR 3+ years of experience with MS.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Backend Physical design APR build flows, RTL2GDS design tools and flows, SOC design methodology.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience or course work in high performance design methods and VLSI design

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with scripting/programming languages (Perl/tcl) and software development.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in UNIX*, including Shell programming

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the above skill sets

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD/DA tools/flows support/development.

  • Experience with industry tools such as Synopsys DC/ICC2 or Cadence Virtuoso will be a plus.
