Job Description

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

We are seeking a self-motivated candidate who has a strong interest in Embedded Software and/or Firmware Development. This position is in Intel Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group NSG. The selected candidate will be contributing to the development of Intel's Solid State Drive (SSD) product line.


Work as part of a team to perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Developing new firmware features

  • Testing new and existing firmware

  • Participating in design and code reviews

  • Fixing firmware defects


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related engineering or technical field.

Minimum 3+ months of experience in the following:

  • C++ Computer Architecture

  • Embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge or experience in the following:

  • SSD

  • Storage architectures
