If so then our Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) has opportunities for you. In VPG we deliver Intel's 3D graphics, media, display, and Parallel Computing Technology. The Architecture team within VPG defines future processor graphics engines for mobile, desktop and server platforms that will lead the market. We are looking for a GPU SoC System Architect to join our team and make a significant impact in graphics and visual computing.

In this position we need a highly motivated & experienced professional who can develop System-on-Chip level Architectures for the integration of Graphics, Media, and Display sub-systems into a range of GPU products that lead the industry in terms of performance, power, area efficiency, and time-to-market. This includes defining the requirements and architecture of SoC memory sub-systems, power delivery and management, external interfaces such as PCI Express, and other supporting IP building blocks. You will work closely with other HW and SW Architects and Micro-architects, as well as partners from HW and SW Engineering organizations, and Strategic Planning from various Intel Business Units.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills/Qualifications:

You must have BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Architecture, or Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of Hardware and Architecture experience. A Masters or Ph.D is preferred with 6 years of experience.

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Solid understanding of Computer and/or Graphics Architecture

Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:

  • Good understanding of HW/SW modeling & simulation

  • SoC or System Architecture (Chip Architect, Platform Architect, SoC Design)

  • Communication Fabric (inter-connect)

  • Memory sub-system (Memory controller)
