This is a paid internship with relocation benefits for those who must travel more than 50 miles to the work location.

Employees in the Platform Engineering Group (PEG) deliver innovative platforms across computing and communication segments including data centers, mobile and desktop personal computers, handhelds, embedded devices and consumer electronics. Intel's industry leading technology is used to create integrated hardware and software solutions such as processors, chipsets, communication radios, graphics processors, motherboards, and networking components that deliver capabilities from security and manageability to computing performance and energy efficiency.


The Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) is responsible for the design and proliferation of graphics products. In this position, you will be working on digital logic design, verification of current and next generation graphics chipset products. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Participating in IP verification, and SoC integration/verification of display graphics functions

  • Enabling design and validation capabilities involving software and hardware tools to support display graphics development

  • Need open-minded engineers willing to apply their knowledge and skills towards the all the above mentioned areas

  • Good communication and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work well with multiple teams


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PHD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science/engineering related field

  • 3+ months experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Logic Design and Architecture

  • Hardware Description Languages such as System Verilog or Verilog

  • Programming Language (C/C++)

  • Verification methodologies UVM and/or OVM

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting in Python, Perl, or equivalent languages to drive automation and design efficiency.

  • Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design tools such as Synopsys VCS* Verdi* logic simulator, System Verilog, Synopsys Design Compiler, Synopsys* Primetime, Linting Tools, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Spyglass

  • Formal Property Verification (FPV), developing and executing complex test plans including directed and random content, expertise is Assertion Based Validation and Coverage Based Validation.

  • Executing and debugging test plans on emulation systems (Eg: Cadence Veloce, Synopsys Zebu) and FPGA platforms (like Synopsys HAPS)
