The Software Engineer team is within VPG and we are responsible for developing the 3D Graphics Driver for Intel GPUs. We are looking for a Graphic Software Engineering to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact in the graphics and visual computing.

Who we are and what we do :

We are a part of the Software graphics team responsible for shipping windows graphics driver software to customers around the world, for all Intel windows graphics products. We focus and specialize on the validation of the graphics memory manager, power management, kernel mode and firmware components within the graphics driver software stack. Our charter includes developing targeted tests, debugging and root causing software and hardware issues -- all with a mission to ship quality drivers. To achieve this, we embrace the usage of modern software practices such as continuous integration, design patterns, agile methodology and apply them to the graphics domain. We write a lot of C++, python and work in a variety of interesting environments from live silicon systems to various pre-silicon systems. This person will be embedded in our validation team and focus on initiatives to improve the efficiency of our team charter. That means working to enhance and optimize our C++/Python test frameworks, as well as stream line our build and continuous integration process for developing tests, deploying them and executing them.

In this role, you will be exposed to critical areas of graphics and have significant head room for growth opportunities. Responsible for developing multiple aspects of graphics software, display driver development and simulation environment development. Works with various partners to enhance and improve graphics performance on upcoming processor graphics devices by analyzing performance issues in software drivers and applications, implementing software performance improvements, and recommending future hardware & software improvements. Also responsible for providing internal and external feedback to implement upcoming graphics features in yet-to-be-released OSes to ensure our hardware and software will function and perform as expected on next generation platforms as well as designing/developing/implementing graphics system level software for future platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills and Experience that will get you notice:

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields with 3+ years of experience.

Experience should be in the following areas:

  • Must have Strong automation and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Groovy and Batch scripts including REST API's.

  • Experience developing tests in C++ with the ability to utilize modern tools, frameworks and libraries such as cmake, boost etc.

  • Experience administering Linux and Windows servers

  • Knowledge of deploying up VM's and Docker containers in the cloud.

  • Experience working with Continuous integration tools like Jenkins/QuickBuild/Gerrit

  • Experience working w/ GIT or Perforce version control

  • Knowledge of agile methods such as SCRUM, KANBAN.
