Intel Graphics Validation Technician in Folsom, California
This position is for a Graphics Validation Technician in the Intel Visual Technologies Team (VTT). In VTT we develop and deliver Intel's integrated graphics designs, including 3D, media, display, and Parallel Computing Technology. In this position, you will have a variety of opportunities to learn new skills and to work independently with supervision. Some examples of tasks you will be challenged with during this internship is working on validating graphic filters/caches, media encoder/decoder performance and power evaluation, as well as learning the graphics architecture. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting leading edge technology in this role.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Participating in validation of graphics media functions
Enabling verification capabilities & tools to support various validation activities
Developing and contributing to automation that supports validation efforts

This position is an Intel Contract Employee (ICE) and is located in Folsom, California. Intel Contract Employees are hired directly by Intel on a fixed term or specified purpose contract and are employees of Intel for the duration of the contract.
Must have or be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Computer Engineering or related field. Must have 1+ years of experience working in validation lab.
Your experience should be in the following areas:
Must have 1+ years of experience working in lab environment on post-si validation
Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:
Experience with Programming/Scripting languages like C/C++, Ruby, Python, PERL.
Previous experience or coursework in the area of graphics architecture and performance benchmarking.
Familiarity with industry standard media codec tools such as ffmpeg, handbrake, etc.
