Intel Hardware Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Description

Hardware (HW) engineers design and do electrical validation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) designs for Solid State Drive (SSD) products that includes researching components, circuit design, simulations, schematic capture, component placement & routing on PCB, electrical validation and characterization of designs and successfully transitioning to high volume manufacturing (HVM). HW engineers ensure that SSD designs conform to standards and specifications. HW engineers need to work closely with cross functional teams during pre and post design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules. HW engineers develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • At a Bachelor's level, this position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum 6 months of experience in the following :

  • Analog and digital circuit design

  • Signals and systems and transmission lines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with mixed circuit design

  • Experience working with PCB design including circuit design, schematic capture, layout and validation.

  • Cadence tools for PCB design

  • Electrical Validation of PCB designs.

  • Electrical validation of DDR and PCIe bus interfaces.

  • Voltage regulators: working and validation.

  • Scripting languages such as Python.
