Intel Hardware Engineer in Folsom, California
Hardware (HW) engineers design and do electrical validation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) designs for Solid State Drive (SSD) products that includes researching components, circuit design, simulations, schematic capture, component placement & routing on PCB, electrical validation and characterization of designs and successfully transitioning to high volume manufacturing (HVM). HW engineers ensure that SSD designs conform to standards and specifications. HW engineers need to work closely with cross functional teams during pre and post design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules. HW engineers develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
The candidate must be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field.
Must have taken course work in analog and digital circuit design, signals and systems and transmission lines
6+ months of experience working with analog circuits design, mixed circuit design, signals and systems, transmission lines.
6+ months of experience working with PCB design including circuit design, schematic capture, layout and validation.
Experience/knowledge in the following:
Cadence tools for PCB design
Electrical Validation of PCB designs.
Electrical validation of DDR and PCIe bus interfaces.
Voltage regulators: working and validation.
Scripting languages such as Python.
