Intel NAND Characterization and Validation Product Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Description

Come join a dynamic and ever challenging team focused on characterization and validation of Intel's preeminent line of 3D NAND components.

As part of the broader NAND Product Engineer department, you will be responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of NAND Flash components from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. The focus of this team within PE is to characterize IO and array performance across process/voltage/temperature as compared to component specification, provide feedback to both design and manufacturing to optimize these performance metrics. The team also focuses on validating component level behavior. To enable these activities, you will be responsible for defining, developing and deploying both the methodologies as well as the implementation on Automated Test Equipment and other measurement equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc). The team is also responsible for debug of any performance or validation issues observed, with close collaboration from design, architecture and other disciplines within Product Engineering. Partnership with design and architecture teams expands to cover making significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits. In this role, you will be expected to autonomously plan and schedule daily tasks; and develop solutions to problems leveraging your formal education and engineering judgment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must Have a BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar degree

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience as a Product Engineer, Product QRE, or in High Volume Test

  • 2+ years' experience in device characterization and validation at component level

  • 2+ years' experience in software development, preferably in C+ Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Development of test program code for Automated Test Equipment

  • Development of software that interfaces with lab equipment (thermal control, o-scope, logic analyzer, etc)

  • Prior experience and familiarity with JMP (including JSL) and Python

  • Knowledge of NAND Flash erase, program and read algorithms and device physicsKnowledge of NAND Flash wafer and component level testing and yield improvement

  • Knowledge of NAND Flash to system integration
