Job Description

This position is to lead the Design Automation team in NSG(Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group ). Intel's 3DNAND is building on an established memory technology to meet dense storage demands of data centers, professional and personal computing and embedded applications. Intel's 3D XPoint is a breakthrough non-volatile memory technology that is revolutionizing the storage/memory landscape. The Design Automation group's primary responsibility is to develop and deploy tools, collateral, flows and methods to accelerate NVM component design. The longer term focus is to investigate and pioneer ML/AI principles to transform design work flows.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of typical design implementation work flows and software engineering principles.

  • Proven track record of actively managing a highly technical team. Provides directions and goals to the group. Coaches and develops the next generation of technical leaders.

  • Fast learner who can synthesize complex design work flow challenges involving circuit/logic design, layout, verification, tools, automation and data extraction.

  • Strong background in Electronic Design Automation tools, flows and architecture. Understands domain complexity and is able to identify and drive high-impact productivity solutions.

  • Solid understanding of at least one front-to-back implementation flow - Digital(RTL->GDS) or Analog(spice->GDS) flow.

  • Superb communication and organizational leadership skills.

  • Commitment to fostering a team-oriented environment, including the ability to work across international geographic boundaries and cultures.

  • Experience in managing customer and partner relationships. Develop and maintain a customer-focused team culture.

  • Demonstrated ability to present meaningful indicators to audiences ranging from front-line engineers to senior managers and executive staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ML/AI concepts(CNNs, RNNs, reinforcement learning, supervised and unsupervised learning) and ability to apply these principles to component design work flows.

  • Experience in 3D Memory, design/verification/technology/process/layout.

  • Experience with the Technical Leadership Pipeline process to develop technical leaders in the team.

  • Familiarity with external Foundries(TSMC or other).

  • Prior experience with Intel Labs, Intel startups or with Intel NSG.


Required Qualifications

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience track-record of success in Electronic Design Automation(EDA) , Circuit Design or Logic Design.
