Then our Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) has opportunities for you. VPG delivers Intel's 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. The Hardware team is within VPG and we design and validate the future Processor Graphics engines for mobile, desktop and server platforms that will lead the graphics market in power and performance.

We're looking for a Power Estimation Engineer to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact in the graphics and visual computing. This position is at the forefront of Intel's next generation media development. In this position, you will utilize all your talents to do the power estimation work of the latest best Intel media Quick Sync technology and design.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to one or more of the following aspects of the design flow:
Responsible for running power estimation tools and working with other logic designers to ensure power targets are met as per project guidelines
Running functional tests to capture activity windows, using power estimation tools to gather power numbers for all functional blocks, and driving design changes to ensure the power targets are met
Power estimation and analysis work performed for both IDLE and active power test cases

Minimum Skills and Experience that we are looking for:
You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline and industry experience with minimum 3 years of related work experience.
Your experience should be in the following areas:
Basic knowledge of computer system architecture
Solid understanding of digital electronics and logic design
Experience with Verilog, System Verilog
Prior experience in power estimation work including tool knowledge such as Power Artist or PTPX
Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:
- Media codec standard knowledge is a plus
