Job Description

PCH System Validation Engineer Pre-silicon in CIG thrive in bringing together the highest quality of next generation South Complex technology across Client and Server business segments at Intel. This is an exciting validation opportunity which is not only versatile in driving industrial eco-system across next Gen IO and embedded sub-system, but involvement in the next generation early prototyping platform technology to ensure a comprehensive coverage can be achieved. This role is a part of the dynamic PCH team and will have opportunity to work for various leading edge sub-systems and challenging the power management optimization that go into next generation mobile, client, and server product segments at Intel. Tis role will validate by using/innovate through proprietary hardware and software environment on cutting edge early prototyping solution. The position is filled with depth and breadth engineering opportunities, with a wide scope across software / firmware, hardware, design integration on development and debug for System Validation. This opportunity will innovate and deploy new infrastructure solution for validation efficiency, review pertinent specification, create test plans, develop content and debug.

Qualifications

Required Skils/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science

  • Prior relevant system validation experience (4+ years with a BS OR 3+ years with a Masters Degree or 0+ years with a PhD)

  • Knowledge of Computer System Architecture

  • Understanding of a subsystem HW and/or SW stack, including the silicon, all onboard HW components and connectors, external or plug-in adapters and devices, drivers, and applications

  • Experience with C and/or C++ programming, Python

  • Knowledge of and experience with andy of the following: VCS/emulation/FPGA/Software System modeling

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Familiarity with key PC bus protocols PCIe

  • Experience with Embedded Sub-system

  • Prios experience with hardware validation software development

  • IP or Full Chip experience, and Simulation experience

  • Experience with debug of Intel chipsets and/or CPUs
