Job Description

Are you passionate about computer graphics and working with leading graphics and automation engineers on Intel's latest GPU/CPU architecture and automated validation methodologies? Then our Visual and Parallel Computing Group VPG has opportunities for you. In VPG, we deliver Intel's 3D graphics, media, display, GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. The Graphics Software Automation Engineering team is within VPG's Software Engineering organization, and we work to develop automation software and infrastructure to validate Intel's latest GPU/CPU Architecture to release the highest quality product to the market. You will partner with graphics driver engineering and automation engineering teams to implement software automation solutions, which will improve time to market for cutting edge products and impact the day-to-day lives of nearly 2,000 engineers. This position requires a diverse set of skills and will give you the opportunity to work with graphics software engineering teams from all over the world.

You will help us with the following responsibilities but not limited to:

-Work alongside software and hardware development teams to analyze and debug issues.

-Develop tools to design and to define new methods for graphics driver software -testing.

-Drive process improvements such as automating manual processes and data reporting.

-Use, and be comfortable with, agile software development methodologies in the software development life cycle.

-Maintain high quality graphics driver health through Continuous Integration validation methods.

-Working in a in a high volume machine automation environment

-Maintain system hardware at motherboard levels and operating in high volumes

-Drive processes that automate system uptime and cycle throughput time

-Develop and use software that monitors the daily activities of the automation environment

-Coordinate activities pertaining to high volume automated graphics validation efforts working closely with internal and 3rd party resources

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related field.

  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development, validation, and debug of software/hardware

  • Developing software using C/C++ programming language, or Python/similar scripting language

  • Software testing automation methods

  • Software testing and test methodology functional, integration, regression, performance, quality, continuous integration, continuous delivery

  • Computer hardware and software architecture

  • Development and/or validation of graphics drivers for Windows, Linux or Android operating systems

  • High volume test automation environment

  • Experience with Continuous Integration process flows and execution
