Then our Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) has opportunities for you. In VPG we deliver Intel's 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. The Graphics Software Engineering team within VPG develops drivers and related technology for Intel's processor graphics customers. We are looking for a Graphics Software - UI Validation Engineer to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact in the graphics and visual computing.

In this position, you will engage with stakeholders worldwide in designing/guiding software development activities on the VPG roadmap. This role gives you a unique opportunity to create an Intel game experience application for Intel Graphics. You will be designing a new user interface to create the best in class control panel for interacting with the Intel graphics driver. Being a new design, you will be getting in at the beginning and will work with a small team to define, architect and deliver the solution. A strong candidate will have UI design experience, and be an independent worker with technical leadership skills. The candidate will also have a passion for PC Gaming and will leverage their gaming experience to make design decisions/tradeoffs while creating this best in class application.

In this position, you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Engaging in graphics design definition including architecture feedback and overall product design feasibility.

  • Creating the graphics uArch definition as well as drive specification reviews and work with the RTL teams for design implementation.

  • Working with the physical design team on initial area estimates, floor plan definition, tradeoffs, and overall area optimization.

  • Working with the logic design team to define functional, performance, and power test plans to ensure the implemented design reaches our specified product goals in production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree is preferred with 1+ years of educational or work experience.

Your experience should be in the following:

  • Experience working in systems hardware + software product development or validation teams

  • Experience in engineering methods and tools within the Intel software development lifecycle

  • Strong attention to technical detail, data analysis and situational problem solving skills

Preferred Skills and Experience that will make you stand out:

  • Experience working in large-scale software development teams and projects

  • User Interface Development experience

  • Broad familiarity with 3D graphics, video and display technologies

  • Familiarity with cross-operating system software product development including differences between Android/Linux and Windows code management methodologies-Experience in evaluating metrics and producing software development project indicators-Experience working on Agile teams

  • Graphics industry familiarity and business acumen
