Job Description

The Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group is one of the fastest growing groups at Intel. Located in Folsom California, as a Test Development Engineer for the Solid State Drive SSD Quality and Reliability team, you are responsible for test methodologies development working with cutting edge non-volatile memory technologies.

In this role your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  1. Develop infrastructure and tools for running tests, reporting quality metrics in production environments.

  2. Help teams identify issues in their design, code, tests, or processes that could affect quality, and recommend corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.

  3. Support new product transfer and startup, and improve test process.

  4. Documenting features, and monitoring quality, allowing for faster time to root cause issues.

  5. Provide training and documentation on test methodologies.

  6. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 months of experience in the following:

  • Programming C or C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of storage products.

  • Flash Memory.

  • PCIe, SATA interfaces.

  • SQL database.

  • Scripting language such as Perl, Python.
