Intel Sr NAND Logic Design Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Description

This position is part of 3D NAND logic design and validation team. Candidate will be technical individual contributor in design and validation of the on-chip controller and mixed signal circuitry in 3D NAND FLASH chips.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Architecture development and product definition, system integration and full-chip and block-level validation plan and execution

  • RTL design and implementation of the controller hardware, synthesis, APR and full timing/power closure

  • Development of firmware code for NAND operations such as Write, Read and Erase

  • Debug RTL simulations

  • Validating the functionality of new architectural features of next generation designs by developing the validation test plan and participate in coverage analysis

  • Work closely with other teams to follow up with all phases of design from conceptual design to production support efficiently

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors in Science or Masters in Electrical Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in digital design.

  • 2+ years’ of experience in non-volatile memory design NAND is particular and algorithms.

  • 3+ years’ of experience in Verilog/System Verilog language.

  • 3+ years’ of experience of the entire digital design flow, from the spec all the way to the physical design

  • 4+ years’ of experience in synthesis, equivalency check and static timing analysis.

  • 3+ years’ of experience in the firmware development for dedicated controllers.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Strong problem solving ability.

  • Strong lab and silicon validation skills.

  • Be self-motivated, self-directed and driven

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with mixed-signal design and validation is a plus.

  • Knowledge and Experience with transistor level simulators such as Spice, Ultrasim etc. is a plus.

  • Experience with UVM and test bench development is a strong plus.

  • Knowledge of TCL, PERL or Python is a plus.
