Job Description

Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development. Determines microarchitecture design, logic design, and system validation through simulation and possibly emulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, simulation and validation of functional quality for SoCs. Performs all aspects of the SoC logic/validation design flow. May also review vendor capability to support development. May be involved in emulation validation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS or MS in computer science, electrical engineering or computer engineering.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience.

Ideally would have knowledge of and experience with:

  • System level computer architecture

  • System Verilog or similar RTL coding language.

  • Validation methods and techniques for SOCs, ASICs or other VLSI.

  • OVM/UVM verification experience beneficial.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, C++, Python

  • Ability to be a strong individual contributor, as well as the ability to lead a small team of engineers in technical work.

  • strong communication skills, ability to work within a team, to work effectively across organizational boundaries and communicate across geographies.
