Intel 2019 Senior Accountant in Hillsboro, Oregon
As a Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Maintains and analyzes the ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports.
Develops and maintains the policies that govern the Company's reporting process and ensures compliance with generally accepted reporting standards.
Defines the accounting system roadmap and system requirements of the future and assist or direct system programming resources in the development of accounting systems.
Accounting functions may include general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, inter- company accounting, and payroll.
Supervision of lower level exempt or non- exempt employees is common among incumbents working in accounting operations.
Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
o Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and 6+ years of related work experience (or Master's Degree in Accounting with 4+ years related experience).
o This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only . A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.
o CPA certification is preferred.
o Prior supervisory experience preferred.
o Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong understanding and a demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
o Able to understand and assess the impact of issues that occur in the close cycle.
o Can proactively identify and mitigate risks within proposed business processes.
o Ability to effectively work across organizations, geographies, and time zones.
o Demonstrated competency in researching complex accounting issues.
o Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into management-level summaries.
o Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to challenge the status-quo.
o Desired Specialized Experience (Specific Roles).
o Degree in Information Systems, Decision Science or Data Science related field is beneficial.
o Information Systems aptitude.
o Advanced understanding of database structures, research methods and data mining.
o Experience with data reporting environment (such as Microsoft BI Suite, or HANA/Business Objects).
o IFRS Knowledge and Experience.
