This position is for a Research intern within Security & Privacy Research (SPR) at Intel Labs. The mission of SPR is to drive industry-leading research in Trustworthy Execution, Anti-Malware, Cryptography, and Privacy to deliver the highest robustness and assurance on Intel platforms.
We are looking for a PhD student with advanced research background in Cyber Physical Systems, with experience analyzing threats and developing mitigations for embedded and IoT systems (automotive preferred). The student is expected to work with the team and apply previous academic research into specific automotive applications.
Communication: The candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. In particular, they should be self-motivated, show initiative and innovation to solve technical challenges. They should be able to present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions.
Minimum skills and experience:
� Enroll in related Ph.D. degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on Cyber Physical Systems.
� Security-related publications in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings or journal.
� Must have experience developing software with C++, C, or Java.
Preferred skills and experience:
� Research background in Automotive Systems and Network security.
� Familiarity with CAN, DSRC, LTE-V2X, 5G etc.
