Job Description

Manufacturing Equipment Technicians perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. May also perform set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Qualifications

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

  • responsible for supporting Ronler Acres (RA) campus - AMHS equipment

  • ensure AMHS systems have minimal impact to manufacturing WIP movement

  • perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

  • dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

  • perform setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment

  • complete assignments which are semi-routine in nature

  • perform work within generally defined parameters

  • use judgment to some degree in resolving nonstandard problems

  • climb and perform work on ladders

  • read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams

  • review of safety Pre Task Plans (PTPs).

  • repair and maintain ASRS (Automated Storage Retrieval Systems) AKA stockers

  • work with vendor Field Service Engineers (FSEs) in a technical and maintenance capacity in support of engineering activities in the manufacturing environment as they align to factory priorities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Mechanical/Technical Certification or Associate of Science Degree in Robotics / Automation Engineering, Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering Technology OR Relevent STEM Degree

  • potential consideration will be given for three or more years of Military experience in Mechanics/Electronics/Avionics training including

  • ability to demonstrate basic knowledge in mechanical repair

  • schematic/wiring diagram reading

  • mechanical/electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance

  • repairing and troubleshooting mechanical/electronic equipment to the component level using available schematics, technical data and test equipment/basic tools

  • demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • able to read, comprehend, and execute complex instructions

  • able to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves

  • able to lift up to 35 lbs

  • spend the majority of the time (>90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, processing WIP, walking long distances, and/or standing/sitting for extended periods of time

  • comfortable walking many miles per shift

  • able to work on a compressed workweek schedule (Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week.)

  • multiple shifts will be available for this position (There may be a need to move to another shift to provide factory support as business requires.)
