Intel Contract Manager in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

Intel performs various types of construction worldwide to support its primary businesses. This includes mega projects such as the construction of new semiconductor factories to small retrofits of manufacturing and office facilities. Intel uses a variety of contract delivery and compensation strategies to accomplish this work that range from turnkey lump sum to highly collaborative integrated forms of agreements.

This is a new role to the Oregon site and whomever takes on this role would need to be flexible and learn to prioritize their workload. In general, this role will be responsible for providing contract leadership for all aspects of developing and implementing the Intel portfolio of construction strategies at the Oregon site.

Part of the responsibilities would be:

  • Oversee and assist with negotiating, structuring, and management of contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners.

  • Review documents that protect the company's contractual posture and ensure adherence to company policy.

  • Liaison with the Intel Law Department (Construction Legal) and Intel's construction procurement contract managers (FCM's) on the above and keep them apprised of developments at the site.

  • In conjunction with Construction Legal, advise site and corporate construction management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate

  • Be a member of the OR bar with a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction contract drafting and claims counseling, including experience handling claims including mediation, and arbitration.

  • 5+ years' experience working with Superior counseling skills with emphasis on practical solutions to business and legal needs.

  • 5+ years' experience in construction practices and procedures, including industry contract forms.
