Intel Electrical Validation Intern in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

This Electrical Validation Intern position is within Network Division's Network Platforms Operation group. The team is responsible for performing electrical validation for Ethernet network adapters.

In this position, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing electrical validation test capability

  • Defining test cases

  • Developing test scripts

  • Performing manual and automated testing

  • Analyzing test results and helping with issue investigation and characterization

The ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

  • Demonstrated ability to work and solve problems independently or with minimal supervision

  • English writing skills and verbal communication skills


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum requirements:

Applicant should be currently enrolled in college and pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Required skills and experience include:

  • Programming experience in Python and C languages

  • Ethernet Networking experience

  • Hands-on experience with network adapters

Additional desired skills, experience, and interests:

Test Plan, Test Case, and Test Script Development experience

Testing and troubleshooting/debugging skills

Experience using Linux

Organized and detail oriented, taking the initiative to investigate and document anything that doesn't seem right in the product behavior

Interested in testing network components
