Job Description

The Employee Effectiveness Manager leads and manages a team of 10+ Employee Effectiveness Partners, who are responsible for providing real time and strategic employee relations engagement and management through effective triage, stakeholder management, and thorough assessments using independent judgment and evaluation of guidelines, policies, and procedures. This may involve analysis of data and documentation to evaluate and influence employees and management regarding employee relations as well as working closely with management to implement corporate human resources policies at the business unit / division level, such as salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, etc.

As part of the role, the Employee Effectiveness Manager may coach, mentor and/or advise managers and employees at all levels to help draw out insight, create new perspective and build commitment to action while improving managers' capabilities to handle situations. You will work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.

The Employee Effectiveness Manager sponsors programs and influences managers in such areas as performance management, diversity and inclusion, organizational downsizing and redeployment of resources, providing oversight, consistency and establishing standards across the Employee Effectiveness communities, with an eye toward opportunities to work proactively rather than responding to crises. Drives capability building across EE Partners for continuous performance improvement and manages allocation of resources to various HR initiatives and coordinates with Business HRMs to ensure key initiatives on the HR Business plan are resourced.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or master's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.

  • 6+ years of experience in the following:

  • Prior work experience in areas related to the HR/EE Partner role as described above

  • Must have deep knowledge and experience of employment and labor laws, especially those most relevant in a nonexempt employee population (wage in hour, leave and accommodations, injured workers, etc.)

  • 3+ years people management experience, with small to large teams locally, and virtually.

You should also possess:

  • Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, data analysis, problem solving, and work prioritization for the EE partners in partnership with HRD/HRM as required

  • Must have demonstrated unquestionable judgment and objectivity in making decisions.

  • Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information

  • Demonstrated effectiveness to work within and across groups.

  • Prior demonstrated management/leadership experience required.
