Job Description

In this position, you will be an active member of our Intel EHS Organization in the area of environmental engineering. You will be part of a team responsible for the compliance of all applicable environmental regulations, government requirements and Intel policies for air and or water and waste programs.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborating across organizations to maintain environmental performance and limit Intel's environmental footprint.

  • Teaming with other EHS professionals on a site, regional and global level to share learning, increase innovation and drive synergy throughout Intel.

  • Partnering with site, regional and global stakeholders to increase environmental awareness, tracking, analyzing and reporting environmental indicators and driving continuous improvement efforts.

  • Preparing and submitting required environmental reports, indicators, permit applications/modifications with high degree of quality.

  • Interface with appropriate regulatory agencies.

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and engineering judgment.The successful candidate will:

a. Collaborate with Senior Environmental engineers when preparing and submitting required environmental reports/plans and maintain all the environmental permit applications/modifications. You will represent your region in cross-site teams to increase environmental awareness, share learning, increase innovation, and drive synergy throughout Intel.

b. Participate of compliance self-assessments to gauge the health of the environmental programs and identify areas needed for improvement to ensure regulatory compliance is met.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors o Master's degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or a related field.

  • 3 months to 1 year of environmental engineering experience in a high tech manufacturing and technology development environment. Experienced can be obtained via internships.

  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Oregon State regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater or Waste is a plus.
