The candidate will be responsible for performing transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis in support of process/product development. Requires use of dual beam FIB for TEM sample preparation and TEM for imaging and analysis. Continuous upgrading of skillset requires open attitude and ability to learn from others and develop/enhance methodology that meets ever-challenging process development requirements. Work closely with TEM sample preparation artists and other TEM engineers to share knowledge and learning. Maintains necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.
Successful applicant must be able to work in a close team environment and be able to both give and take directions from colleagues. Applicant MUST be a good team player and able to work efficiently under pressure without making errors. This is an evening shift position and must include a weekend day.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Candidate must possess a Master or PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field.
Minimum 6 months of hands on experience in FIB and/or SEM/TEM techniques
Semiconductor device physics knowledge.
Experience in programming and simulation of electron microscopy results or data analysis and image processing.
