Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job.
The ideal candidate will be performing design, simulation and validation of DC/DC converters, as well as designing RTL algorithms to be implemented in FPGA.
Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
6+ month internship is preferred.
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
The candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 6-9 months experience in:
DC/DC buck converter.
Hardware description language (Verilog, System Verilog, etc.)
Modeling and capability to run simulations using tools like PSPICE or HSPICE, etc.
Switching voltage regulator designs.
FPGA design tools like Intel Quartus Prime and common EDA simulation tools like Modelsim, Verdi and VCS.
Low frequency signal integrity analysis (S-parameters, Z parameters, etc.,) for power delivery and ability to design noise filtering circuits and optimizing for performance and cost.
