Intel General Manager, Intel Unite in Hillsboro, Oregon

In this role as general manager, you will be charged with taking this product from start-up phase into volume growth, leveraging and building key industry partnerships. This is an end-to-end role that includes product strategy, product development, GTM strategy, and operations. You will build and scale Unite for the future. You will oversee a passionate team of engineers, architects, planners, marketers and customer-support people, and engage closely with sales to grow our value proposition and product differentiation in the crowded field of collaboration solutions. You will work with partner organizations across Intel including corporate marketing, the software solutions group, and Intel IT to ensure we have a comprehensive development and GTM strategy across the company.
As GM, you will be expected to have the technical depth to engage in technology decisions while also having the executive presence to meet with potential customers and demonstrate the credibility to influence their collaboration decisions. You will be the face of Unite at industry events and with press, analysts and industry influencers. You will motivate a team to grow, bringing enthusiasm and leadership to the group.
You will report to the general manager of the Desktop, Commercial and Channel team within the Client Computing Group.
Preferred candidates will have:
5+ years of experience in the audio/visual, collaboration or teleconferencing industry (required)
Experience running a software business and P&L (strongly preferred)
Experience in enterprise technology deployments and device management (preferred)
Experience with SaaS (preferred)
A strong understanding of cloud-based businesses and issues
A degree in business, engineering or a related field
A willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Strong business acumen and presentation skills
Sales/marketing/business development experience
A strategic, creative thinker with operational discipline
A team player with a passion to take on challenges and grow the business

The Client Computing Group is responsible for all aspects of the client computing business across Phone, Phablet, Tablet and PC platforms, leading Intel's efforts to transform client computing through technologies, new form factors, and driving Intel's corporate-wide user experience initiatives. This spans all client device brands including hardware, software and connectivity ingredients for phones, tablets, Ultrabook™, All-in-Ones, 2 in 1 computing devices, and home gateways.
