Intel Information Security Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

As an Information Security Engineer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivery, support, and product life-cycle management of enterprise scale security controls.

  • Own the deployment across all Information Security Solutions providing preventative and detective controls for the successful operation and performance monitoring visibility into our Key Cyber Terrain solutions securing Intel.

  • Would be part of an Agile Scrum team and be expected to provide DevOps support to this solution.

  • Plan, design and build of enterprise scale security architectures.

  • Oversee the implementation of network and computer security and ensure compliance with corporate cyber-security policies and procedures.

  • Monitor cyber-security requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices.

  • Perform security assessments of applications and systems using penetration and vulnerability testing and risk analysis.

  • Implement software fixes (patches) to remove system vulnerabilities.

  • Respond immediately to cyber security related incidents and provides a thorough post-event analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Technical degree (BS Statistics, BS Math, BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, BS Information Systems, BS Information Security).

  • 5+ years practical security experience.

  • Security certifications such as GSEC or CISSP.

  • Knowledge of common security systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Windows and Linux administration experience.

  • Experience working with APIs.

  • Understanding of software development principles.

  • Script writing for automation and integration (e.g. Python, etc.).

  • Experience working with a variety of data formats.

  • Ability to understand large data sets and design queries to answer complex questions.

  • Working knowledge of enterprise computing environments, including application architectures, network and application protocols and database reporting too.

  • SPL, Python, PERL, Bash, Regex, Powershell.
