Intel Inside Sales Account Executive- Internet of Things Group (IoTG) Solutions in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

This is a commissioned sales position located in Hillsboro, Oregon. With your primary client base being in the Internet of Things (IoT) vertical, you will be responsible for selling company products (through distribution channels) and performing account management responsibilities to existing customers, as well as generating new customers by outbound calls or internet engagement with qualified leads. You will help identify decision makers, determine customer needs, and explain product/service alternatives. Recommends the most suitable products/service, identifies features and benefits, overcomes customer objections, and closes sale and prepares appropriate documentation. Attempts to cross sell or upsell each account and refers to other parts of the sales force as appropriate. Informs and engages customers using persuasive techniques to motivate customers; urge timely action toward actual purchases with Intel technology. Provides customer service to existing customers to ensure satisfaction via internal contact with sales or external contacts with distributors. May direct customers to website or other company resources for information. May mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients. This position is an Inside sales position, but does require occasional visits to customers or specific events.


  • Influence business and technical decisions with assigned Visual Retail customers

  • Establish Relationship with eco-system partners

  • Develop New Business through qualified lead conversion

  • Build strong, direct relationships with senior business and technical customers.

  • Candidate must comprehend Intel architecture offerings and fellow traveler offerings targeted Storage/Networking/Comms OEMs.

  • Be a trusted advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems towards the benefit of the customer and Intel.

  • Engage sales and technical resources both directly with the end customers and fellow travelers to achieve revenue targets and win new technology adoptions.

  • Execute Intel Requirements: Training, Pipeline management, Forecasting, Reporting, etc...


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing (or a related discipline) or Technology with a technical aptitude (MBA preferred)

  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate well with customers on the phone, in email and in person.

  • Strong listening skills with a proven record of cross-group teamwork.

  • Capable of building strong, direct relationships with business and technical customers.

  • Self-motivated and able to independently execute and prioritize workloads

  • Proven track record of successful customer engagement; focus on data center / server sales or business development experience.

  • Familiarity using CRM

  • Strong interpersonal skills (with proven track record of cross-group collaboration).

  • Knowledge of Intel server and storage solutions/data center architecture, applicable standards, and the operational processes.

  • Knowledge of OEM business models and key performance indicators.

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment and to achieve high quality results.

  • Ability to work effectively with eco-system partners.
