Job Description

Intel Product Assurance and Security IPAS Governance & Operations GO is responsible for implementing and operationalizing proactive security and risk-prioritized measures such as Security Development Lifecycle SDL process, tools and training to embed a secure-by-design approach. In addition, the organization is responsible for establishing and improving key operational elements, providing governance and oversight, and fostering a security first culture into Intel's product development and IPAS' strategic practices.

The Director of Product Assurance Processes and Governance will build, lead and develop a team of governance managers and business process experts that implement and drive processes and controls to ensure a secure-by-design approach for product development across Intel.

Core job responsibilities include:

  • Understand and drive security compliance best practices

  • Facilitate activities and projects that ensure a security first culture within the company

  • Assess and continuously improve the product security governance framework

  • Establish and improve policies and standards to ensure secure product development

  • Perform audits and assess controls to ensure compliance and standards are met

  • Perform risk assessments and drive remediation of any issues identified

  • Develop metrics and KPI's/KRI's for teams to monitor compliance and risk-

  • Define and implement the IPAS operating model

  • Drive business process improvements across protect, detect and respond workstreams

  • Provide inputs to improve product security tools, systems and training to drive compliance

  • Influence and coordinate with other assurance functions across Intel to drive synergies and efficiencies to continuously improve product assurance

  • Define and develop the strategy and vision to apply industry-leading processes and governance to increase effectiveness while raising the bar for product security and secure development practices

  • Identify, design, execute, document, measure, monitor, and control business processes to achieve consistent, targeted results

  • Team leadership, employee development and performance management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree +10 years of team management MBA and knowledge of SDL and PLC are a plus

  • Must have experience managing product assurance, audit, and/or risk and controls

  • Proven ability to lead governance forums that include participation from multiple business groups

  • Ability to interpret and understand legal documents and regulations is required

  • Demonstrated experience working with auditors and legal

  • Proven experience in implementing Business Process Management and Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement

  • Must have strong leadership skills including excellent communication, stakeholder management, ability to delegate and lead others, and ability to work in an environment with change and ambiguity

  • Demonstrated track record of leading and managing teams

  • Must have ability to scope and plan work needed for areas of ownership and provide clear feedback to the team on risks, issues and help needed

  • Capable of synthesizing complex information into clear messages, often speaking on behalf of IPAS Management

  • Detail oriented with an inclination to identify and improve processes

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to build respect and influence at all levels

This team drives security & assurance governance, identifies emerging threats, secures existing products through mitigations and defines & initiates future security innovations for Intel products.
