LTD Q&R covers all aspects of Intel's leading edge Silicon Technology reliability and is actively hiring in the following areas: Front end of line and transistor reliability interconnect and dielectric reliability thermal mechanical and moisture interactions between Silicon and Packaging technology integrated reliability memory reliability radiation effects and New Technology ramp.
The impact of LTD Q&R decisions makes the QRE position one of responsibility and high visibility. In this position you will be responsible for partnering with process, device and integration leads defining new architectures, materials and process flows to meet optimal yield, performance and reliability goals for the technology. You will develop and construct electrical tests and stress methods to effectively measure and characterize reliability performance providing ongoing feedback to the development integrators on the technology progress. You will be expected to derive physics-based and empirical silicon based models which will be used by product design teams to ensure product reliability and will serve as a point of technical excellence in your particular area providing in-depth technical consultation to the product development teams and high volume manufacturing organizations.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Candidate must possess a PHD in Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 months of experience with:
Semiconductor fabrication, integration, and characterization.
Any of the following formal languages C,C++ and scripting language JSL, PERL, Python, SQL, TCL, VBScript.
-Experience in test methods.
-Experience with electrical measurement equipment in characterization of semiconductor devices.
-Experience in VLSI circuit design, including analog and digital simulation
-Experience in ionizing radiation effects
-Understanding of reliability failure statistics, physics, or failure mechanisms.
-Experience in experimental design, execution, and interpretation.
-Experience with statistical analysis packages e.g. SAS, JMP, Minitab, R.
