Intel Manufacturing Equipment Technician in Hillsboro, Oregon
Manufacturing Equipment Technicians (MET) performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, robotic, and mechanical systems on semi-conductor manufacturing equipment. They will assist in identifying problems on nonfunctional equipment used throughout the manufacturing process and work to repair it. This will include making adjustments, calibrations, or repairs on existing equipment using operational manuals, repair procedures, rough sketches, or drawings. Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters. They normally receives general instructions on most work and need to apply some degree of judgment in resolving nonstandard problems.

Relocation will not be offered with the position. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of school work, classes, previous job, and or internship experiences.
Candidate must have a high school diploma.
3+ months of experience in mechanical, auto mechanic, or robotic skills obtained through shop classes, robotics clubs, previous jobs, or extra-curricular activities.

Candidate must be willing to:
Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves. Walk up to 3 miles in a 12hour shift, lift up to 35lbs, use of job-specific fixtures, basic hand tools, and airline supplied respirators.
Spend the majority of the time (>90% less break time) on the floor working on equipment which will require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
Work on a compressed workweek schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week.
