As a Place and Route Design Automation Engineer, you will be work in the Product development solutions group located in Hillsboro Oregon. The right candidate will be involved in creating and supporting the latest design tools methods and flows for Intel most advanced processors combined with the latest processes. It a challenging role that requires innovation and creativity combined with a great team work experience.
Develop and test Engineering Design Automation tools, creates flows/scripts to analyze, and test design methodologies
Evaluate vendor practical capabilities to provide required products or services
Design, deploy, and test efficiency features of tools to achieve design goals
Design Automation Engineers are advocates of applying design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality
Team work, enthusiasm, and ability to work on problems independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
5+ years of experience with Backend design tools Auto-Place and Route (APR)
Expertise with Vendor tools for Backend design. Ex: Synopsys ICC/ICC2, DC/DCE, Primetime
Expertise in back end design verification Sign-off tools and methods including Timing Analysis , Quality , Power, X-talk, etc
Strong programming experience in scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl and experience with C/C++ in a Linux* and/or UNIX* environment
Experience with standard cell based APR build flows including design convergence for power and timing optimization
Experience debugging at the tool and flow levels
